Jakub Nikonowicz received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunications engineering from Poznań University of Technology, Poznań, Poland, in 2014 and 2019, respectively. From 2014 to 2016, he was an Assistant Project Manager with Ela-compil, Poznań, Poland, where he was responsible for the implementation of Central Building Management Systems. In 2017, he participated in a six-month doctoral exchange at Mid Sweden University, Sundsvall, Sweden, where he researched low-complexity noise power estimation methods. From 2018 to 2019, he was an Assistant in the Chair of Telecommunication Systems and Optoelectronics of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications. Since 2019, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Multimedia Telecommunications at the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications of the Poznań University of Technology. He has authored or co-authored 10 scientific publications in refereed journals and proceedings of international conferences. His current research interests include statistical signal processing for signal detection and random number generation for reliable node authorization in wireless sensor networks.
